The Picasso BFL SmackDown Junior (Five Blades, 3 Hooks) is designed to meet BFL/Costa tournament rules that limit umbrella rigs to a maximum of five blades and three hooks. Its compact size makes it suitable for targeting suspended fish as well as fishing around docks, blowdowns, and other structure.
Constructed with heavy-gauge, low-visibility Inviz Wire, the SmackDown Junior is designed to provide durability while keeping the focus on the presented baits. The wire produces a pulsating action during the retrieve and quickly flares open when the rig pauses.
The lightweight, impact-resistant plastic head features an embedded nose swivel designed to help prevent line twist and reduce the ability of hooked fish to leverage themselves off. A unique sliding sleeve allows damaged or worn terminal swivels to be replaced quickly without discarding the entire umbrella rig.
The rig combines Willow and Indiana blades to produce flash and vibration. Premium American-made components include Sampo ball-bearing swivels, a 140 lb. strength nose swivel, and 75 lb. strength terminal snap swivels.
