The Quantum Merit Free Liner Spinning Reel combines a sealed IPX6 design with a Free-Liner system, CFX200™ Carbon Fiber Extreme Drag System, and durable construction. Designed for anglers using live or dead bait, the Merit provides adjustable rear-drag control before engaging the primary front drag.
The Quantum Merit Free Liner Spinning Reel is designed with a Free-Liner system that allows anglers to disengage the primary front drag and activate a lighter, adjustable rear drag. This setup is designed for live or dead bait applications, allowing fish to take the bait with reduced resistance. Turning the handle engages the front drag for direct control.
The Merit features Quantum's Sealoq™ 6 technology, which seals the gearbox and drag system to IPX6 standards for protection against water, salt, and sand. Its graphite body and rotor with an aluminum side plate provide a lightweight and corrosion-resistant construction.
The reel is equipped with the CFX200™ Carbon Fiber Extreme Drag System, 4 sealed stainless steel bearings, and a Duraloq™ clutch. Quantum also specifies Proprietary Hot Sauce™ lubrication throughout the reel for performance and longevity.
