Shimano Core G9 Line

Made in Japan with premium IZANAS® polyethylene fibers, CORE G9 is engineered for anglers who demand greater sensitivity, control, and depth management. Its unique 9-strand construction combines an 8-carrier weave with a high-density solid core, creating a round, flexible line with a controlled sinking rate.

With a specific gravity of 1.13–1.27 compared to approximately 0.98 for conventional PE lines, CORE G9 sinks efficiently and helps minimize line bow caused by wind and waves. Its low-stretch construction transmits subtle bites and underwater feedback quickly, making it ideal for deep-water finesse presentations.

CORE G9 excels with techniques such as strolling, drop shots, neko rigs, hair jigs, and finesse swimbaits where maintaining precise lure depth is critical. It is available in 0.6 PE to 2 PE sizes and comes in Pink color option.
