About Us

Susquehanna Fishing Tackle Inc. is owned and operated by the Acord family. George Sr., George Jr., and Mike hatched the idea in the late 80's and brought it to fruition May 1, 1989. Our mission statement, providing anglers with quality products and services that help them catch more fish, all  at excellent prices .

Our own experience allows us to assist our customers in any fishing endeavor they undertake. George Jr.'s passion is tournament fishing. He has tournament fished since 1980, and has competed in many of the premier circuits. The highpoint of his career came in 1995 and again in 2004 when he competed in the Bass Masters Classic.  Now George Jr is fishing the FLW Stren Series, BFL and many regional events.

Mike is also a tournament fisherman, his highlite came in 2005 when he qualified for the E.D.T. as a member of the Pennsylvania Team and in 2006 finishing 5th in the BASS Elite Series on the Potomac River then winning the co-angler division in the Bass Elite Series Capital Clash in 2007. Mike is a full time guide on the  Susquehanna River guiding thousands of clients for 10 years.

George Sr. is a life long fisherman who always made time to take Jr. and Mike fishing. Sr. also tournament fishes, and has been successful on the federation level with the highlight of his career qualifying for the 1994 E.D.T. as a member of the Pennsylvania team. Currently Sr. spends most of his tournament time fishing with Jr. in a number of team events. Sr.'s knowledge covers many aspects of both fresh and saltwater fishing. All three of the partners draw a lot of satisfaction in helping their customers become better fishermen.
